Albie the Elephant Jumper to fit a child from birth to 3 years old

Sweater to knit with an Elephant motif and 3 button opening to one shoulder

Knitted using double knitting wool

Pattern is written in English

Knitting pattern is sent as a digital download PDF

Knit our Albie the Elephant Jumper suitable to fit a child from birth to 3 years old.

Design:

The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately.  The front has a cute motif of a baby elephant knitted using the intarsia method following a chart.  One shoulder has a 3-button opening to make it easier to lift over the child’s head.  You need to pick up stitches for the neckline.

Sizes:

The instructions are given for 4 sizes: 0-6, 6-12, 12-24 and 24-36 months old.

Yarn:

The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).

Jumper shown in main picture is for size 12-24m and knitted using:

Rico Baby Classic DK in shades Cream (002), Light Grey (031), Orchid (052), Anthracite (032)

Skill:

Intermediate.  Written instructions provided, but experience needed to work from a chart for the motif.
Needles:

Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.

Other requirements:

3 buttons

Stitch holders
