Knit our Snowy Rudolph the Reindeer Jumper suitable to fit a child from 2 to 13 years old.
Design:
The front has a motif of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer in the snow. The front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline. A chart is provided to complete the motif.
Sizes:
The pattern includes 6 sizes: 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13 years old.
To fit chest: 56, 61, 66, 71, 76 and 81 cms or 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 and 32 inches.
Yarn:
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the jumper knitted for size 8-9 years using Stylecraft Special DK shades: Green (1116) and White (1001), Red (Lipstick 1246), Black (1002), Beige (Walnut 1054) and Dark Brown (1004)
Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions provided, but experience needed to work from a chart for the motif.
Tension:
22 sts and 28 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
