Knit our Father Christmas and Rudolph Jumper suitable to fit a child from 6 months to 3 years old.
Design:
The front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline and one shoulder has a 3 button fastening to make it easier to lift the jumper over the child’s head. A chart is provided to complete the motifs.
Sizes:
The pattern includes 3 sizes: 6-12m, 1-2yrs and 2-3 years old. To fit chest: 18, 20 and 22 inches or 46, 51 and 56 cms.
Yarn:
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply)
The picture shows the jumper knitted for size 12-24 months using Rico Baby Classic DK shades: Ivy (062), Red (009), White (001), Greige (017), Clay (037), Light Powder (038) and Black (099)
Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions provided, but you will need experience of working from a chart for the motif.
Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.

3 buttons
Stitch holders
Small crochet hook (optional) to help pull yarn through for pompom
