Knit our Poppy the Puppy Dog Jumper suitable to fit a child from birth to 3 years old.
Design
The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately. The front has a cute motif of a puppy dog knitted using the intarsia method following a chart. One shoulder has a 3 button opening to make it easier to lift over the child’s head. You need to pick up stitches for the neckline.
Sizes
The instructions are given for 4 sizes: 0-6, 6-12, 12-24 and 24-36 months old.
Yarn
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
Sweater shown in main picture is for size 6-12m and knitted using:
Rico Baby Classic DK in shades Dusky Pink (040), Light Grey (031), White (001) and Anthracite (032)
Needles
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
