Children’s Santa Claus Jumper to fit from birth to 3 years old
Knit our Xmas jumper with a Santa Claus motif and 3 button opening to one shoulder

Knit our Santa Claus Jumper suitable to fit a child from birth to 3 years old.
Design:
The front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline. One shoulder has a 3 button fastening to make it easier to lift the jumper over the child’s head. A chart is provided to complete the Father Christmas motif.
Sizes:
The pattern includes 4 sizes: 0-6m, 6-12m, 1-2yrs and 2-3 years old.
Yarn:
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply)
The jumper in the picture has been knitted for size 0-6 months and uses:
Stylecraft Special DK shade: Cornish Blue (1841), White (1001), Lipstick (1246), Parchment (1218) and Black (1002)
Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions provided, but you will also need experience of working from a chart to complete the motif.
Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
Other requirements:
3 buttons.
Stitch holders
Small crochet hook (optional) to help pull yarn through for pompom
